ALL (Almost) ABOUT ERIC ERDMAN
Eric Erdman began writing songs at the age of 8. Now you get to meet Eric and listen the best of the best he has written since then. A native of Mobile, AL he learned to play guitar at the end of the family pier on Mobile Bay. Now Eric is on his way to the inaugural Rock the Tropics at Margaritaville Island Reserve Riviera Maya.
After graduating the University of South Alabama, Eric dedicated himself to music and began touring the world. That led Eric to Muscles Shoals legendary Fame Studios as part of the writing team. This is where he met and impressed producer Jimmy Nutt.
Eric's versatility in style defies a single genre. That is why the adaptable Eric Erdman has toured with diverse acts like the Buddy Rich Band, Kristy Lee and Coral Reefer Nadirah Shakoor. Besides his own singer/songwriter credentials, Eric produces projects for other artists as well.
The influences Eric claims are James Taylor, Jim Croce and Mac McAnally, among others. This likely explains his various styles, from soulful rhythm and blues to jazzy funk and right into a smooth country tune.
Eric will bring his fearless stage presence and repertoire of audience favorite songs to our Rock The Tropics Music Fest (details below) to perform solo and in collaboration with some of the other amazing talented artists. This is not just a music festival. You can genuinely get to know Eric Erdman at Rock The Tropics as he will be available for Meet & Greet and Q & A sessions. Additionally Eric will join some of our Exclusive Events and Receptions.
